Ever wonder why June is such a popular month for weddings? We can delve back to how this custom began to some traditions of long ago.

During Roman times marriage was performed during the celebration of the festival of the deity (Jupiter and his wife Juno) which took place in June. Juno was knows as the goddess of marriage so this month became sacred for wedding vows to enhance good luck and fortune for the newlyweds.

In Victorian times, June continued to remain popular because of the availability of fresh flowers considered important for wedding décor.

During the farming revolution, couples chose to marry in June, hoping for a summer pregnancy, where the new bride would still be able to work during the upcoming harvest and also be recovered after her spring birth to help the following year.
